The 1987 Buick Grand National received a series of performance and aesthetic upgrades to enhance power, cooling, and durability. The fuel system was upgraded with a Holley fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and 30lb injectors. A TA-49 turbo, adjustable boost controller, GN1 intercooler, and a 3” downpipe paired with a Magnaflow exhaust system improved engine efficiency and performance. Additional modifications included a 2800 stall converter, performance chip, Scan Master tool, and cold air intake. The vehicle also received aluminum radiator hoses, billet EGR block-off, polished aluminum pulleys, and various stainless engine bay covers. Suspension and chassis improvements featured urethane body mounts and air bags, while black GN-engraved valve covers with billet breathers added a custom touch.
