The 1949 Ford Custom Convertible underwent extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Key upgrades include a new fuel system, front disc brakes, a Wilwood master cylinder, and an adjustable proportioning valve. The suspension and steering were modernized with custom tubular control arms up front, with power rack & pinion steering. Out back we installed a Ford 9" rear end with disc brakes. The electrical system was converted from 6V to 12V, with factory-style wiring and a modern fuse box. Performance enhancements included electronic ignition, a rebuilt carburetor, and cooling system updates. The vehicle also received fresh paint on the wheels, re-chromed bumpers, a detailed engine bay, and a buffed and waxed exterior, along with a newly recovered front seat.
