The owner, Chris McNeeley originally built his 1964 Chevelle in 2001. After moving to North Carolina in 2002 with three young children, decided to sell the car to present for their children. After attending a Hod Rod Magazine Drag Week event in 2014, as a passenger with his cousin, Chris decided to buy his Chevelle back. Although the car had been gone for over twelve years, it only had a couple hundred miles put on it in all that time. Also the only change that was made to the car were the wheels and tires. The Chevelle has been through many changes since coming back home, the most important thing to us to consistently maintain its street car roots and being able to drive the car anywhere. It was very important to maintain a high level of aesthetics, trying to keep the car as close to a show piece as possible.
As a result of all the hard work the car has Competed in and finished seven Hot Rod Magazines "Drag Weeks", with an eighth, fourth, two thirds, two seconds and finally a first place finish in 2024 to finally win one of the most prestigious drag and drive event in the country. Also in 2024 we won the Naturally Asperated class at the Street Car Braggin' Rights event. Not bad, winning the only two events we entered in 2024. Look for more updates with this ever evolving company project.
