The 1954 Pontiac Star Chief is undergoing a major restoration and modernization, including a complete front-end transformation with a Scotts suspension frame section, tubular control arms, coil over shocks, power rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes, and sway bar. A new 340hp 350ci Chevrolet small block was installed, paired with a rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission featuring a 2800 stall converter. The fuel and ignition systems were upgraded with a Holley Sniper EFI and ignition, along with an American Autowire harness for a full vehicle rewire. Additional enhancements included a Wilwood master cylinder, new brake lines, Vintage Air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and a custom firewall. The cooling system received an aluminum radiator and custom-fabricated core support, while the exhaust was upgraded to a new 2.5” system. The vehicle also received aesthetic refinements such as polished stainless trim, a cleaned and polished dash, floor sound deadening, and a buffed and waxed exterior.
